Excavator sales in the first quarter accounted for nearly 40% of last year's total sales

In 2021, the sales of excavators in the construction machinery industry continued the boom in 2020. In the first three months, a total of 126,941 excavators were sold. According to the full-year excavator sales volume in 2020, nearly 40% of the sales volume has been completed in the first quarter of 2021. The same is true for loader products, which have also achieved substantial year-on-year growth. As the most representative loader and excavator products in the construction machinery industry, let's first take a look at the sales statistics of the two products given by the official association.

The first is the loaders. According to the statistics of 23 loader manufacturers from the China Construction Machinery Industry Association, 22,772 loaders of various types were sold in March 2021, a year-on-year increase of 52%. Among them: 21,313 loaders of 3 tons and above were sold, a year-on-year increase of 50.2%. The total sales volume in the domestic market was 18,621 units, a year-on-year increase of 54.9%; the export sales volume was 4,151 units, a year-on-year increase of 40.5%.

From January to March 2021, 39,333 loaders of various types were sold, a year-on-year increase of 60.7%. Among them: 36,570 loaders of 3 tons and above were sold, a year-on-year increase of 57.9%. The total sales volume in the domestic market was 30,604 units, a year-on-year increase of 66.8%; the export sales volume was 8,729 units, a year-on-year increase of 42.3%.

The second is excavators. According to the statistics of 26 excavator manufacturers from China Construction Machinery Industry Association, in March 2021, 79,035 excavators of various types were sold, a year-on-year increase of 60%; of which, 72,77 domestic units, a year-on-year increase of 56.6%; exports 6,058 units , A year-on-year increase of 117%.

From January to March 2021, a total of 126,941 excavators were sold, a year-on-year increase of 85%; of which, 113,565 were domestic, a year-on-year increase of 85.3%; and 13,376 were exported, a year-on-year increase of 81.9%.
